He is the lead actor of the international Netflix series “Turn of the Tide” (Rabo de Peixe) across three seasons, with the third season set for worldwide release on April 10. He is a series regular in “El Problema Final” (Netflix Spain), scheduled to premiere later this year, and co-stars in “Os 12 Signos de Valentina” (Netflix Brazil), currently filming until the end of March 2026. Recent work also includes the TV drama “Cacau” (TVI) and the stage play “La Golondrina / The Swallow.” In cinema, he was directed by Pedro Almodóvar in “Strange Way of Life,” which opened the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023, where he played Young Silva, the younger version of Pedro Pascal’s character. He also co-protagoniza “Honeyjoon,” directed by Lilian T. Mehrel, which premiered at the Tribeca Festival in New York in 2025, and in “Vindima,” directed by Luís Galvão Teles, set for release this year. In 2023, he won the Golden Globe (Portugal) for Best Actor in Fiction for his leading role in the series “O Crime do Padre Amaro” (RTP). In 2021, his performance as Hamlet, directed by Carlos Avilez, earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Theatre Actor. He also received the DGArtes Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film “O Som Que Desce da Terra.” His television work includes appearances in series such as “A Filha,” “Pôr do Sol,” and “Até Que a Vida nos Separe.”He made his screen debut in 2015 in the TV drama “Jardins Proibidos,” later appearing in “Santa Bárbara,” “Rainha das Flores,” “Espelho d’Água,” “A Herdeira,” “Valor da Vida,” and “Bem Me Quer.” In 2019, he joined the main cast of the Brazilian TV series “Salve-se Quem Puder” (TV Globo). On stage, his leading roles include “Peer Gynt,” “Peter Pan,” “As You Like It,” “A Morte do Príncipe,” “Peter and Alice,” and “Romeo and Juliet.” Other theatre credits include “Macbeth,” “Splendid’s,” “The Brothers Karamazov,” “Se Eu Não Fechar os Olhos,” “Um Rapaz Chamado Rupert…,” and “O Penetrador.” He graduated from the Professional Acting Course at Cascais Theatre School (2012–2015).
